You know all to well how hard it is to be the caregiver to your family and parents. As the family caregiver, you devote much of your time taking care of everyone but yourself. You spend long hours juggling tasks and commitments and little time paying attention to yourself. As the caregiver you juggle a daily schedule. You go to work, take care of the kids and your spouse, run car pools, take care of the house, do the shopping, and laundry, and yes take care of your parents and in-laws when they need help. As the caregiver you make excuses as to why you can not meet friends for lunch, read a book, listen to music, cut and color your hair, have a massage, go to the gym, take in a movie or museum..... The excuses are always the same because there in "NO ME TIME."
You can always find time for everone else but can never find the time to do something you love or learn something new. Do not neglect your own interests or yourself. You can carve a little time to do something enjoyable for yourself.
